Looking at the market demand for ATI products, it is one of the reasons behind the company's strategy to increase production capacity. The strategic move to add a factory is also intended to create new job opportunities that can drive economic growth in the surrounding community.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, was attended by the Regent of Magelang, Grengseng Pamuji, along with local government officials, community leaders, and other invited guests who have always supported ATI's presence and activities in Magelang. During the ceremonial event, Rico Budiman, Director of PT Aroma Tobacco International, stated that the factory expansion is an important step for the company's journey as well as for the people of Magelang.
“The expansion of our production area is not only focused on business, but also a manifestation of our sincerity in contributing to the creation of job opportunities to support the local economy in Magelang,”
The company is committed to contributing to the preservation of kretek as a unique Indonesian heritage, in line with the benefits that will be felt by the people of Magelang. “We view this expansion of facilities as a long-term investment. Our consistency in developing innovations, especially SKT products, requires us to increase production capacity. We are optimistic that we can effectively meet market needs while creating added value for the local community,” concluded Rico.
The expansion will not stop in Magelang; it will be rolled out gradually in two other areas. This projected expansion of production areas is a concrete step toward fulfilling the company's vision while delivering sustainable benefits to the community in Central Java.
